Spindle 2.2 KW water cooling

Description

This 2.2 kW water-cooled spindle is the cutting motor of a CNC router. Driven by an inverter (VFD) that controls its speed, it turns the cutting tool at high speed to cut and engrave wood, MDF, plastics and soft metals. Water circulating through a jacket around the body carries heat away, so it runs more quietly than an air-cooled spindle.

Never start it without coolant flowing; running dry can quickly damage the bearings and windings. Warm it up at low speed before heavy cutting, keep the collet and nut clean, and watch for rising noise, vibration, runout or heat, which usually point to worn bearings. In cold weather, protect the cooling water from freezing.

Check the spindle's rated voltage, its body diameter for your mount and the collet type before you order, and make sure your inverter can drive a 2.2 kW load.
