HQD spindle 6 HP (4.5 KW)

Description

HQD spindles are commonly fitted to CNC routers used for furniture parts, signage, decorative panels and plastics. This 6 HP model, equal to 4.5 kW, drives the router bit directly and is normally run from an inverter that sets its speed to suit the material and tool.

Cooling deserves the most attention. On a water-cooled version, check before every start that the pump runs and coolant actually circulates, change the water when it turns cloudy, and keep the hoses unkinked. On an air-cooled version, keep the fan and fins clear of dust. Rough surface finish, chatter marks or tool runout usually point to a worn collet or tired bearings.

To order the correct HQD replacement, note the model code, voltage, rated frequency, cooling type and collet series printed on the motor body, and measure the body diameter so your existing mounting clamp still fits.
