Mirror mount

Description

A mirror mount holds one of the reflective mirrors that steer the beam of a CO2 laser machine from the tube to the cutting head. It keeps the mirror at a set angle and has adjustment screws that tilt it in fine steps, so the beam stays centred as it travels along the gantry.

A bent or cracked mount, or one whose springs and screws no longer hold their setting, lets the beam wander off centre, which usually shows up as uneven cutting depth across the bed. Before replacing it, check that the mirror is clean and properly seated and that the base bolts have not just loosened from vibration. After fitting a new mount, realign the beam with test shots at each mirror position.

When ordering, state whether the mount is for the first, second or third mirror, give the diameter of the mirror it accepts, and include a clear photo of the old part so our spare-parts staff can confirm the fit.
