StarFire control 2300S

Description

The StarFire 2300S is a numerical control system that runs CNC plasma cutting machines. Acting as the machine's brain, it interprets cutting files, sends motion commands to the axis drivers, and manages the cutting sequence, from firing the torch and the pierce delay through to switching the arc off at the end of each contour.

Good installation habits protect this controller: mount it away from cutting fumes and fine metal dust, keep the cabinet ventilated, and make sure the table is properly earthed, since the plasma arc produces electrical noise that can upset control electronics. Random resets, lost settings or freezing during piercing frequently trace back to grounding or interference problems rather than a faulty controller.
