RD system 6442

Description

The RD 6442 is a Ruida control system for CO2 laser cutting and engraving machines. As the main control unit, it receives jobs from the computer, drives the axis motors and controls the laser tube's power supply, while its operator panel lets the user jog the head, set the origin and start or stop jobs.

A controller fault may show as a panel that will not boot, axes that move erratically although motors and drivers test fine, lost communication with the computer, or the laser firing at the wrong moments. Check its power supply, cables and connectors before replacing it, and keep a backup of the machine parameters, since a new controller needs the same settings to run correctly.
