HighTention Cable – 1 Meter

Description

This one-metre high-tension cable carries the high voltage from a CO2 laser power supply to the anode of the laser tube. Its thick insulation is designed to contain that voltage safely along its route through the machine, preventing it from leaking to the frame or nearby wiring.

Damaged insulation, burn spots, a hardened or cracked jacket, or arcing at the tube end are all reasons to replace the cable. Route it away from sharp edges and metal parts, avoid tight bends, and make sure the connection at the tube is clean and properly insulated, typically with high-voltage silicone over the joint. Handle it only with the supply off and discharged.

Before ordering, check that one metre is long enough to reach from your power supply to the tube without strain, and look at how the cable terminates at the supply end.
