Description

This one-meter silicone tube is the water hose that carries coolant between the chiller and the part it cools, most often the glass CO2 laser tube, though it is also used on water-cooled spindles. Silicone stays flexible and copes well with the continuous circulation of cooling water, which makes it the usual choice for these lines.

Inspect the hoses whenever you service the chiller. Kinks, flattened sections, cracks, algae growth inside or leaks at the connections all restrict flow and can let the laser tube overheat. Route the hose without sharp bends, secure it with a clamp on each nipple, and keep it clear of moving parts and hot surfaces.

The figure that matters is the inside diameter, which must fit snugly over the nipples on your chiller and on the tube or spindle.
