HyperTherm Shield (130A – 200A) MaxPro

Description

This shield is the outermost consumable on a Hypertherm MaxPro plasma torch, made for cutting in the 130A to 200A range. It sits in front of the nozzle, guides the shield gas around the plasma arc and protects the nozzle from molten metal thrown back during piercing.

Check the shield every time you change the electrode and nozzle. Heavy spatter buildup, a gouged or out-of-round orifice, or blocked gas ports disturb the gas flow and show up as bevelled edges, extra dross and faster wear of the parts behind it. Keep the seating surfaces clean and fit it hand tight.

Shields are matched to amperage and cutting process, so note the current you run and the material and gas combination before ordering, then compare it with the consumable chart for your MaxPro torch.
