Description

The AR-25 spindle wrench is a hand tool for tightening and loosening the collet nut on a CNC router spindle. The AR-25 marking indicates the collet nut size it is made for, and the wrench engages the nut securely so tools can be changed without slipping or rounding the nut's edges.

Most spindles need two wrenches for a tool change: one holds the spindle shaft by its flats while the other turns the nut, so the spindle bearings are not strained. Clean the collet and nut before every change, seat the collet in the nut first, and tighten firmly without extending the wrench, since excessive force can distort the collet and nut.

Check that the size on the wrench matches the collet nut on your spindle; a wrench made for another collet size will not grip properly.
