CO2 Laser Machine Honeycomb Table
Description
The honeycomb table is the work bed of a CO2 laser machine: a grid of thin metal cells that supports the material while leaving most of the area beneath it open. When the beam passes through the sheet it meets empty space instead of a solid surface, so back reflection and underside scorch marks are reduced.
It suits thin, flexible materials such as paper, fabric, leather and light acrylic. Over time soot and resin fill the cells, and cells can bend or burn through; a table in that state holds flammable debris and marks the work. Clean it regularly, keep it level, and replace it once the surface is no longer flat.
