S&A Industrial Chiller CW-5000
Description
The S&A CW-5000 is an industrial water chiller used mainly to cool CO2 laser tubes, and it can also serve water-cooled spindles. Unlike simple radiator-type coolers, the CW-5000 uses a refrigeration circuit to control the water temperature, protecting the tube from overheating and helping its output stay steady during long jobs.
Fill it with distilled or purified water rather than tap water, and change the water periodically to prevent scale and algae. Keep the dust filter clean and leave space around the unit for airflow. If the chiller raises a flow or temperature alarm, check the water level and hoses first, and never fire the laser while the chiller is switched off.
