Laser head set

Description

A complete laser head set is the assembly at the end of the beam path that focuses the laser onto the material. It typically combines the head housing, the focusing lens in its holder, the nozzle and the air assist connection, and on CO2 machines it often includes the final mirror that turns the beam down into the lens.

A full set is the sensible choice after a crash that bends the housing, when threads are stripped, or when several parts are worn at once. During installation, mount the head square to the work surface, clean the lens and mirror with suitable optics wipes, fit the lens the correct way up, and realign the beam so it leaves through the centre of the nozzle.
