HyperTherm plasma power source

Description

A Hypertherm plasma power source generates and regulates the cutting current in a plasma system, supplying the torch with power and compressed air through its lead and managing arc start, cutting and post-flow cooling. It comes in 65, 85, 105 and 125 versions; a higher number means more output current and the capacity to cut thicker plate.

Many field problems start on the supply side. Feed it clean, dry air through a proper filter, check that the input voltage and power cable size suit the machine, and leave space around the case for airflow. If a fault is reported, write it down before resetting, because it points to the cause, whether air pressure, consumables, temperature or input power.
