Description

A 750 W servo motor drives a machine axis under closed-loop control: an encoder on the back of the motor continuously reports its position to the servo drive, which corrects any error in real time. On CNC routers and laser machines this gives faster acceleration and more reliable positioning than open-loop stepper systems, without lost steps.

Faults often appear first as drive alarms such as overload or encoder errors, unusual heat, vibration at standstill, or a whining bearing. Check the encoder and power cables and their connectors before blaming the motor, as damaged cables are a frequent cause. When mounting, align the coupling carefully and never hammer onto the shaft, as impacts can harm the encoder.
