Stepper motor 8 N

Stepper motor 8 N

Description

This stepper motor carries an 8 N rating, the trade shorthand for a holding torque of 8 N·m. A stepper turns through a fixed angle each time its driver sends a pulse, which makes it a simple, dependable way to position the axes of CNC routers and laser machines, and a torque class like this suits axes carrying heavier loads.

If the motor loses steps, stalls at higher speeds, runs very hot or makes grinding noises, look at the surrounding causes first: driver current set too low, a loose coupling, a binding axis or a damaged cable. Turn the shaft by hand with the power off; it should move evenly with no rough spots.

When ordering, match the frame size, shaft diameter and keyway, the number of wires and the rated phase current shown on the label, and make sure your driver can deliver that current. Bring the old motor or a photo of its label to our Shubra outlet, or send the details to any Top Laser branch.
