Chiller sensor wire

Description

The chiller sensor wire links the water chiller to the laser machine's control circuit. It carries the chiller's protection signal, so if coolant flow stops or the chiller raises an alarm, the machine can block the laser from firing. This interlock protects the laser tube or source from overheating when cooling is lost.

When this wire is broken, poorly connected or corroded, the machine may refuse to fire even though the chiller is working, or worse, the protection may stop working altogether. Inspect the plug and terminals at both ends, look for pinched or cut sections, and never bypass the water protection to keep working, since running a laser without confirmed cooling risks serious damage.

Connectors and pin layouts vary between chiller models and machine controls, so note the chiller model, photograph both ends of the existing cable and its terminals, and measure the required length.
