Laser Tube Metal Holder

Description

This metal holder is the bracket that supports the glass laser tube inside a CO2 laser machine. Tubes normally rest on two or more holders that keep them level, parallel to the beam path and secure against gantry vibration.

Because the tube is glass, the holder should grip it through a rubber or soft lining, never by bare metal contact. Tighten the clamp only enough to stop the tube moving; overtightening can crack the glass or stress the electrode ends. Many holders allow height and side adjustment, used to line the beam up with the first mirror after a tube is installed. A holder with stripped threads or a bent arm will not hold alignment and should be replaced.
