Description

The YakoTec easy servo motor 8 N is a closed-loop motor used to drive the axes of CNC routers and similar machines. It combines a stepper motor with an encoder that reports the shaft position back to the driver, so lost steps are corrected instead of turning into dimensional errors. The 8 N in the name indicates its torque class.

Signs of trouble include alarms on the driver, a motor that vibrates or stalls under load, unusual noise, or excessive heat. Check the encoder and power cables for damage first, since loose connectors are a frequent cause. When installing, align the coupling or pulley carefully and tune the driver settings to suit the load on that axis.
