LGK Power Source Inverter Air Plasma
Description
The LGK inverter air plasma power source converts mains electricity into the steady direct current a plasma torch needs to cut metal. Using compressed air as the plasma gas, it ignites the pilot arc, transfers it to the workpiece and regulates the cutting current, making it the core of any air plasma cutting setup.
Typical warning signs are an arc that refuses to start, an arc that drops out mid-cut, or a fault or overheat lamp that keeps coming on. Before condemning the unit, check that the air supply is dry, oil-free and at the correct pressure, that the torch consumables are not worn and that the work clamp makes solid contact. Keep the cooling vents free of metal dust, as inverter boards are sensitive to heat and conductive debris.
To get a matching replacement, photograph the nameplate showing the model, input supply and maximum output current. Top Laser's plasma technicians can compare it with your torch and cutting needs and confirm the right LGK unit.
