American focus lens

Description

The American focus lens is a US-made CO2 laser optic that sits inside the laser head and converges the beam into a fine focal point. Its quality directly affects cutting depth, edge finish and engraving detail, since all the power that reaches the material has to pass through it.

Avoid touching the lens surface with bare fingers, because skin oils burn into the coating once the laser fires. A cracked lens, surface pitting, or a brown haze that will not wipe off means it must be replaced. When refitting, seat it squarely in the holder, tighten the ring just enough to stop movement, and recheck the focus distance before running production.

Before buying, confirm the lens diameter your laser head accepts and the focal length you work with, as both differ between machines.
